Belarus specialists installed the Potato Digging-Loading Machine adapted to soil-climatic conditions

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and Ltd ,,Mechanizator’’, together with Scientific-Technical Center of Combine Engineering ,,Gomselmash’’, is conducting a testing of the digging-loading and semi-trailer machine of potato, which is adapted to Georgia's soil-climatic conditions.

The existing digging- sorter combines in Georgia are not accessible for farmers due to high prices, but the dredging machines require additional work by hand. Taking into consideration this, the Georgian side has developed the technological scheme of the simple construction machine that simultaneously fulfills to dig the potato from the soil, clean them from their impurities and load the remove mass on the means of transport.

Belarus specialists have made the potato digging-loading machine, within the framework of Memorandum of Understanding which is signed between SRCA and Scientific-Technical Center of Combine Engineering. The examination of the testing machine was carried out in 2017-2018, in the regions of potato planting in Eastern Georgia (Tsalka, Ninotsminda and Akhalkalaki municipalities). According to the previous results of testing and the recommendations of the Georgian side, in 2018, ,,Gomselmash’’ made a perfect model of the potato digging-loading machine.

In order to reconcile with the last details of the machine, the representatives of the ,,Gomselmash’’ had a meeting with the Advisor of the Ministry of the Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Omar Kacharava, with the director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, Levan Ujmajuridze, with the representatives of the Research Division of Agricultural Engineering and Ltd ,,Mechanizator’’ and with other specialists of the field. The Potato Digging-loading machine has been already introduced to farmers in Ninotsminda municipality. The new machine has caused great interest.
