Georgian wines have won gold medals in Uzbekistan

Georgian wines win gold medals at the Tashkent international tasting competition "Eastern vine". ,,Akhmetis Tsiteli’’ and ,,Kvevris Kisi’’ made by the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture won Gold medals, ,,Simonaseuli’’ received a special award of big gold medal, ,,Solomnishvili winery’s’’ saperavi was awarded with gold medal too.

Tasting Competition "Innovative Technologies and Modern Trends in the Development of Viticulture and Winemaking" was held in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Scientific-Technical International Conference. Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, made a speech at the conference with the report - "Modernization of Viticulture and Wine Prospects in Georgia". The conference was attended by the representatives of France, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Central Asian countries and other participants.

Within the framework of the conference, the International Wine Festival "Art of Winemaking" was held, where Georgia had a separate pavilion. Georgia's corners have great interest and approvals. At the Festival the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture presented wines made on the base of Jighaura. The main purpose of the Georgian side was to promote wines from traditional and restored old Georgian grape varieties and raise awareness in Asian countries.
