Exhibition of agricultural equipment was held in Tsilkani

The meeting with the farmers was held at the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, in Tsilkani. The guests were introduced with the samples of agriculture techniques developed by the Agro Engineering Research Division in 2015-2018. The technique exhibition included fruit picking machines, caring- cultivating combined machine of tea, soil preparation harrow and frieze and mixing equipment for preparation of combined food.

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia – Iuri Nozadze, the Director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture – Levan Ujmajuridze, the Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering – Tamaz Natriashvili, the representatives from the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ltd ,,Mechanizator’’, Agricultural Information and Consulting Services, Georgian Technical University and other field specialists attended the meeting.

At the same time, the representatives of Agro Engineering Research Division made reports. They summarized the implemented projects for 4 years and talked about future problems in the mechanization. In 2019, the Tea Rehabilitation Project will work on the development of tea techniques - the creation of mobile techniques for working in tea plantations.

It is noteworthy that Agro Engineering Research Division of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture created a potato digging-loading semi-trailers together with ,,Gomselmash’’ in the Belarussian Combines Design-Technical Center in 2018, adapted to Georgia's soil-climatic conditions. By 2019, technical work is planned to improve these techniques.
