Meetings with farmers were held in Guria Region

Within the framework of the project "Mobile Extension", the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and the specialists of Information-Consultation Centers consulted the farmers in the Guria region, in the municipalities of Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri and in the villages. Specialists informed locals to take care of hazelnut and berry crops, how to fight against the hazardous diseases and gave information also about the care-breeding of the bees.

The Joint Project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is being implemented since 2016 and its aim is to support the farmers, introduce industry innovations and provide information on state programs. It is noteworthy that in the framework of the project in 2018, around 7500 farmers were provided consultation in 150 villages across Georgia.

The meeting will be held in Shida Kartli region from 4 March to 7 March, where farmers will be consulted in the direction of the care-cultivation of cereal crops and vegetables, regarding veterinary and plant protection.
