A field day was organized at the testing-demonstrative base of Tsilkani

Nine of the 300 forms of wheat obtained from the International Organization for the Proof of Wheat and Maize were distinguished by their agricultural characteristics, stability, yield and disease resistance. The project is being implemented in 4 regions - Dedoplistskaro, Mtskheta, Borjomi and Akhalkalaki, which differ in terms of climatic conditions and zoning. Under the project, the best form for a particular region will be selected and its variety will be registered. The selected form will pass the variety test and will be distributed to farms.
The 3-year project "Identification of high-yield, disease-resistant autumn wheat genotypes distinguished by international nurseries by testing in different environmental conditions of Georgia" is implemented by the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture together with the Kobuleti Institute of Phytopathology.
