Smallholder farmers got acquainted with the activities of Jigaura and Tsilkni bases

The representatives of small farms from different regions visited experimental bases of Jigaura perennial crops and annual crops of Tsilkani base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture within the framework of the Georgian Farmers' Association project "Farmers Support Initiative". The farmers inspected the fruit and vine collections, the laboratories at the bases and got acquainted with the activities of the center.

The Farmers Support Initiative (FSI) is a project funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation with the aim of reducing rural poverty by increasing the competitiveness and income of small entrepreneurs involved in agriculture. Small farmers in the regions selected as a result of the project will improve their market position and increase their income.
