The Drying Camera was handed over to the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture under a JICA grant
The Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture has won a grant in the 2021 mini-grant project announced by the Georgian Office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Within the framework of the grant, the division of Standardization, Certification, Planning and Economic Analysis was provided with a drying camera (incubator), which provides 10-50 C drying of the seed material and at the same time maintains up to 10-20% humidity. The drying camera will be used to strengthen the infrastructure of the gene pool of field crops of plant genetic resources.JICA has been cooperating with Georgia since 2015, mainly in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure improvement, health and medical services, and regional development. Within the framework of the technical assistance scheme, JICA organizes training programs for Georgian specialists. The head of the Center's Certification Division underwent 1 month of training in the conservation and sustainable use of PGR resources for food and agriculture in Japan.
