The Representatives of the MASHAV Agricultural Training Center paid a visit to Georgia
Yuval Elazar, the Director of MASHAV Agricultural Training Center (MATC) and Giorgi Zghenti, the head of the MASHAV program in Georgia, with the funding of the Embassy of Israel, within the framework of the International Cooperation Development Agency ( MASHAV program ) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, inspected the greenhouse of modern technologies (hydroponics) built on the testing-demonstration base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture of annual crops in Tsilkani.Within the framework of the visit, the guests also visited the Soil Fertility Research Division named after Ivane Sarishvili. Since 2017, the laboratory has been carrying out a complete soil study, based on which the soil is evaluated for agricultural activities and its fertility level is determined.
At the end of the working visit, the guests visited the testing-demonstration base of perennial crops in Jighaura, where they got acquainted with the collection of Georgian vines and tasted wines made from rare grape varieties.
