Members of the Tuscia University (Italy) delegation visited the Jighaura base

The professors of Tuscia University (Italy) visited the experimental and demonstration base of perennial crops of Jighaura of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture.

Winegrowers, microbiologists and agroforestry sector specialists viewed the collection of vines, fruit and forestry crops on the base, learned about the activities of the center and tasted wines made from rare Georgian grape varieties planted on the base.

About 470 Georgian and 350 foreign varieties of grapevines and more than 120 forms of wild vines are protected in the collection plantation at the experimental-demonstration base of Jighaura perennial crops and 88 species are preserved in the collection of forestry crops, including unique and endangered species.

It should be noted that Tuscia University was founded in 1979, today, it is one of the famous universities in Italy.
