Students had a workshop regarding the quality of the wine in Irma Chanturia Wine Laboratory

In order to promote the preparation of young, qualified staff in viticulture and winemaking, Irma Chanturia Wine Laboratory, who is in the management of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, students of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking of the Georgian Technical University had a workshop for wine chemistry, terms and diseases.

Participants got acquainted with the importance of laboratory research of wine, the impact of wine on the quality of the wine, and the importance of vintage. Young people participated in tasting to detect wine and diseases.

The wine lab in the governance of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture was created to establish Georgian wine quality systems and to promote the transition to the European standard of the private sector.

The laboratory contributes a significant contribution to the promotion of Georgian wine. Its main function is laboratory control of wine and grape products and technical support for growers and wine producers.
