In 2023, 12 samples of local and introduced fruit crops were added to the collection of fruit crops of Jighaura

Currently, about 490 varieties, forms and samples of 26 cultures have been preserved at the Jighaura Perennial Experimental -Demonstration Base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, from which 220 are local and 252 are introduced. Out of 12 new samples of native and introduced fruit trees, 4 are raspberries, 3 are pistachios, 3 are tkemali and 2 are goji berries.

In order to popularize new and local varieties, to spread the progressive methods of intensive pruning and forming in farms, the Fruit Growing Research Division of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture actively conducts seminars and trainings, publishes scientific literature. In 2023, the Division organized online and field training seminars for farmers, in order to attract young personnel in agriculture, and field days for students and schoolchildren; Pamphlets were issued and prepared for publication, including in foreign publications.
