On the basis of Jighaura, training for novice winegrowers was conducted

On the rules of growing a vineyard and planting vines, maintenance of a newly planted vineyard and types of pruning, novice growers were trained at the experimental-demonstration base of perennial crops in Jighaura. The participants of the training took part in the pruning process, got acquainted with the vine collections grown at the base of Jighaura and received information about the history of viticulture in Georgia.

The training was held within the framework of the vocational training program of the Georgian Wine Guild "Short Course in Viticulture", with the financial support of the State Employment Promotion Agency.

It should be noted that the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture regularly conducts free trainings and seminars in the center's bases and laboratories in order to attract young personnel in the agricultural field.
