At the Jighaura base, trainings were held for the employees of the Rural Development Agency

At the Experimental and Demonstration Base of Jighaura Perennial Crops of the LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, two-day theoretical and practical trainings were held for the employees of the information-consulting centers of the Kakheti and Shida Kartli regional offices of the NNLE Rural Development Agency.

It should be noted that the employees of the information-consulting centers of the regional offices of the Rural Development Agency are involved in the process of providing farmers with modern knowledge, information about successful experience and raising their qualifications.

At the training, the participants learned about the identification of apple, vine and peach pest-diseases, the phases of phenological development of these crops and approaches to climate risk management. The participants of the seminar received information about the ongoing researches and scientific projects in the direction of fruit growing, viticulture and integrated protection of plants of the Scientific-Research Center.

The aforementioned theoretical and practical trainings were led by Zviad Bobokashvili, the Head of the Fruit Growing Research Division of the Scientific-Research Center, and Zurab Khidesheli, the head of the Integrated Plant Protection Research Department.
