GIZ program in the field of Viticulture and Winemaking
In the wine laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, within the framework of the CIZ’s (German Society for international Cooperation) program ’’ Private Sector Development in the South Caucasus’’, students passed the training. During the seminar, participants got familiar with the main services of the wine laboratory and the importance of the laboratory research, as well as with the theoretical and practical part of the degustation.This professional program is three years old and is implemented simultaneously in colleges and factories. Two colleges in viticulture and winemaking - ,, Aisi’’ and ‘’Ilia Tsinamdzgvrishvili Community College’’ – are participating in this program that provide the theoretical part of the teaching and eight enterprises - ,,Kindzmarauli Corporation’’, ,,Chateau Mukhrani’’ , ,, Schuchmann Wines’’, ,,Shumi’’, ,,Maranuli’’, ,,Shadrevani’’, ,,Kindzmarauli Marani’’ , ,,Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking’’, where practical training is underway for participants.
Since 2015, the German Society for international Cooperation (CIZ) within the framework of the program ’’ Private Sector Development in the South Caucasus’’ is working on the introduction of the dual education in viticulture and winemaking in Georgia. The partner of the program is Bavarian State Institute of Viticulture and Horticulture, which has long experience in implementation and realization of dual education.
