French experts will be involved in the improvement of certification procedures of agricultural crops

In order to share the French experience of certification procedures for cereal crops by the invitation of the French Ministry of Agriculture and the National Inter-professional Group of the Seeds and Planting Material (GNIS), Nodar Khatiashvili, deputy director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and employees of the division of standardization and certification visited Paris.

In frames of the visit, the French side introduced the Georgian side with certification system of France, the National Catalog and the documents regulating the rules of breeding in catalog. The certification system in Georgia was also discussed at the meetings.

It should be noted that at the meeting with the representatives of National Inter-professional Group of the Seeds and Planting Material (GNIS), French and Georgian specialists agreed on future plans of cooperation and implementation of joint project.

Within the framework of the visit it was decided that the French experts will arrive in Georgia in the nearest future and will be involved in the preparation and implementation of sub-legislative acts together with the experts of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture that will improve the certification procedures of agricultural cultures.
