Farmers were consulted in Samtskhe-Javakheti

The farmers were consulted in Samtskhe-Javakheti region within the framework of the Joint Project "Mobile Extension" of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture in the field of animal husbandry, veterinary and dairy processing. The representatives of the Information-Consultation Centers and representatives of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture visited the livestock farms in the villages of Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki, Aspindza and Akhaltsikhe municipalities and got acquainted with ongoing works and existing problems. Farmers' were given recommendations on caring and breeding of the cattle, breeding improvements and on the preparation of the food raw material and balanced food. They drew attention on improving the veterinary-sanitary conditions in the farms, preventing measures to combat the hazardous infections and preventing diseases, as well as mechanisms for production and processing of dairy products.

The project "Mobility Extension" has been implemented since 2016. Its purpose is to support the farmers and introduce innovations in the agricultural sector. Within the project already 14 thousand farmers have been consulted.

Within the framework of the Mobile Extension, meetings with farmers will be held between October 31 and November 2 in villages of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti (villages - Lentekhi, Khopuri, Okure, Orbeli, Chrebalo, Bugeuli, Sori, Utsera, Glola).
