The Research Laboratory of Soil named after Professor Ivane Sarishvili participated in the Soil Laboratories’ workshop of the Global Soil Laboratory Network

Global Soil Laboratory Network’s (GLOSOLAN) workshop was held at the headquarters of UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where participants of the Research Laboratory of Soil named after Professor Ivane Sarishvili of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture took place.

The GLOSOLAN Action Plan was developed within the framework of the meeting, which implies the introduction of internationally recognized research methods. The World Soil Laboratories will have the opportunity to exchange data and harmonize the received results. Within the framework of GLOSOLAN, the laboratory interconnection quality control system was developed to increase the accuracy of the research laboratory and the credibility of the obtained results.

GLOSOLAN member labs will have opportunity to participate in various training and seminars, which will help to increase the staff qualifications in laboratories and introduce the latest methods of research.

The World Network of Soil Laboratories was created in 2017 by FAO initiative and more than 100 laboratories are joined, including the Research Laboratory of Soils named after Professor Ivane Sarishvili.
