Consultations for farmers in Samegrelo region are underway

The specialists of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture have consulted the farmers in the municipalities of Abasha, Senaki, Khobi and Zugdidi in Samegrelo region and in the villages of Adjara regarding hazelnut and perennial crops, how to fight against harmful diseases and gave consultations concerning agro technologies in berry and vegetable crops.

The specialists of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and Information-Consultation Centers sited the gardens and plots of the locals, handed out the necessary literature and informed about the agricultural innovations and state programs.

The project "Mobile Extension" is implemented since 2016 and in 2018 7500 farmers have been consulted in 150 villages throughout Georgia.

The meeting with farmers will be held in Martvili, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha municipalities and villages within the second phase of mobile extension of Samegrelo region, from 18 to 21 February.
