Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, was elected as an Academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia

On December 23, 2022, at the general meeting of the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Levan Ujmajuridze was unanimously elected as a full member (academician) of the Academy.

At present, Levan Ujmajuridze holds the position of the director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture of the State of Ukraine. He is the Chairman of the Scientific Council, Doctor of Agriculture, Honored Winemaker of Georgia, Member of the Presidium of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia, National Coordinator of Plant Genetic Resources at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), international expert in the field of agriculture.

Under the leadership of Levan Ujmajuridze, a number of local and international projects were implemented, which relate to the search, restoration, protection, popularization of plant and animal genetic resources and other complex scientific and research areas.

Levan Ujmajuridze is actively engaged in scientific and pedagogical work, he is a professor at the Agricultural, Technical and Caucasus International Universities of Georgia.
