French Delegation Visit on the Jighaura Base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture

Bolero group founder Vakhtan Karichashvili and general director Irakli Bekauri together with wine experts from the French cognac department visited the perennial crops’ experimental-demonstration base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture. The visit of the French delegation was organized by the Bolero Group and aims to get acquainted with Georgian viticulture and winemaking and future cooperation.

David Chichua, head of the Viticulture and Winemaking Research Division, showed the guests the ampelographic collection of Jighaura, introduced the ongoing research activities in the direction of selection in the center and the wines made from rare Georgian grape varieties.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of future relations and development of joint projects in the direction of viticulture and winemaking.
