It should be noted that the Frank Benton International Beekeeping Association was founded in 2020. 12 bee farms are united in the association. Farms, on the other hand, include more than 2,350 hives, and the public union of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘’Almaty district society of amateur beekeepers’’ is the largest Kazakh union, with about 3,000 members involved.
"Cooperation with the scientific-research center is very important for us. We need to share Georgia's experience in beekeeping. We are glad that we will be given the opportunity to participate in interesting and important research, especially considering the fact that the Georgian southern bee population is genetically dominated by the Georgian mountain gray gene," said Larisa Shikunova, chairman of the Almaty district society of amateur beekeepers.
