On November 20-24, the summary meetings of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) technical cooperation project organized by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia were completed

In the international project ,,Enhancing Productivity and Resilience to Climate Change of major food products in Europe and Central Asia’’, the representatives of the annual crops research division of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture were involved, who carried out research on the basis of the Center.

Within the framework of the meetings, the foreign delegates visited the demonstration base in Tsilkani, got acquainted with the current works, conducted researches and results.

Also, within the framework of the event, the representatives involved in the international project were hosted at the Jighaura Perennial Crops’ Experimental-demonstrative Base, where they were introduced to the history of Georgian viticulture and winemaking and the wines made from rare vines at the base.

"I would like to express my gratitude to Georgia for organizing this meeting, for hosting us, about 20 participants from different countries are represented here. These meetings were organized in order to discuss the progress and achievements of the project, its future and the formation of new projects" - noted the project coordinator of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Fatma Sarsu.
