Professors and students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University visited at the Jighaura base of the LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture

The guests viewed a unique collection of Georgian and foreign grape varieties and a collection of fruit crops. The representatives of the center's scientific and research directions introduced the students to the agro-techniques of vines and fruit crops, measures of disease prediction and prevention.

Iveta Megrelishvili, head of the Serological and Molecular Research Laboratory of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, informed the students about the activities of the laboratory, methods of immune-enzymatic (ELISA) and molecular (PCR) diagnosis of plant viral and bacterial diseases.
