The Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture provides scientific support to the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara A/R

The representatives of the Center and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara attended the working meeting held at the LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture.

The main goal of the meeting was to provide scientific and practical support from the Center to the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara, develop relevant recommendations, and deepen cooperation.

Considering the challenges in the region's agricultural sector, the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara is implementing the sub-program "Provision of Agricultural Extension", within the framework of which farmers and agro-entrepreneurs of the region are introduced to the latest technologies and modern approaches in the agricultural sector in field conditions.

The Ministry relies on the scientific resource of the Center in the process of creating practical and informative materials for farmers. The Ministry publishes brochures based on research conducted by scientists of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and their recommendations. These materials are an important guide for farmers, which contributes to the introduction of modern agricultural technologies, increasing soil fertility, increasing yields and maintaining environmental sustainability,” noted Levan Bolkvadze, Head of the Agrarian Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

The Scientific-Research Center, within the framework of long-term cooperation, will actively continue to provide scientific support to the Ministry's projects. As the Deputy Director of the Center, Nodar Khatiashvili, noted: "Our goal is to reflect practical advice from recent scientific research in the brochures, which will contribute to the popularization of agricultural knowledge, the education of farmers, and the development of agriculture in the country."
