The Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture participated in the "Guria Wine Festival-2025"

As part of the event, the Director of the Center, Professor Levan Ujmajuridze, addressed the festival participants, emphasizing the outstanding importance of the Guria grape varieties as one of the main symbols of the region's uniqueness and the systematic activities that the Center carries out in the direction of research and dissemination of local genetic resources.
"The diversity of the Guria grapevine is not only a regional heritage, but also a national treasure, the study, protection and reintegration of which into local viticulture is one of the main tasks of the Scientific-Research Center. The Jighaura base is the platform from which the distribution of restored grapevine varieties in the regions, including Guria, is carried out. The Guria Wine Festival allows us to provide the public with real results that are created on the basis of science, labor and teamwork," - said Levan Ujmajuridze.
The director also focused on strengthening support for scientific and practical activities in viticulture and winemaking in Guria, which contributes to the preservation of the rich agronomic heritage.
The festival, in which 48 family wineries and small wineries from different regions of Georgia participated, was attended by the heads of the Administration of Guria State Representatives and heads of all three municipalities in the region, as well as invited guests.
