Training on Hydroponic Technologies was held at the Center's Tsilkani Base

A training on the topic “Application of Hydroponic Technology in Vegetable Production: Deep Water Culture (DWC)” was held at the center's base in Tsilkani, organized by the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil that uses water, nutrients and technological management systems.

The training was led by Irma Iremashvili, Chief Specialist of the division of Vegetable Crops and Melon Cultures. The participants learned in detail about different types of hydroponics, the basic principles of deep water culture (DWC), and the features of the system arrangement.

The training was attended by representatives of agricultural information and advisory centers, agronomists and other interested parties, who toured a greenhouse equipped with hydroponic technologies and received practical knowledge about the care and cultivation of lettuce crops located there, the specifics of system management, as well as technical and economic characteristics.

The goal of the event is to introduce modern agricultural technologies, deepen farmers' knowledge and support the increase in the efficiency of vegetable production.
