Representatives of the Agroforestry Research Division participated in the international conference held in Valencia

During the conference, the Center's scientists presented the results of their research on Georgia's rare forest species – alder and elm. The research included specifying alder locations across Georgia, compiling a database and a map of the species' distribution based on the data obtained, as well as identifying the best populations for in-situ conservation. In the direction of elm, the research concerned the study of the growth dynamics of the species in century-old elm groves in the Batsari protected area.
The event provided an important platform for scientists to exchange experiences, present research results and plan for future international collaboration.
It is worth noting that this research was funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
