Natalia Togonidze, a representative of the Agroforestry Crops Research Division, participated in the international conference "Agriculture, Forestry, and Horticulture World Conference - AFHWC 2025" held in Paris

At the conference, Natalia Togonidze presented a report entitled “ Potential of Successional Stages of Subalpine Birch Forest in the Central Caucasus”, which was prepared within the framework of the young scientist's research project “Creation of a Predictive Model of Natural Restoration of Subalpine Birch Forest”.

The report discussed the dynamics of subalpine birch forest ecosystems of the Central Caucasus and their development trends in 2010–2025. The results of a study in Stepantsminda Municipality were presented, where the natural regeneration processes of birch forests, changes in successional stages, and the influence of ecological factors on the rates and directions of restoration were assessed.

The Center's involvement in international events of this type contributes to the sharing of modern scientific approaches, the expansion of partnerships, and the planning of new directions for future cooperation, which is especially important for both individual researchers and the country's scientific community.
