A scientific-practical seminar on modern methods of intensive orchard care was held in Jighaura

A scientific-practical seminar titled ,,Progressive Methods of Pruning and Training Systems for Intensive Pome Fruit (Apple, Pear) Orchards and Growth Regulation Approaches’’ was held at the Jighaura base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture.

The training was led by Professor Zviad Bobokashvili, Head of the Fruit Crop Research Division, and Chief Specialist Vano Kakashvili. They introduced participants to modern approaches to intensive orchard management, progressive methods of fruit tree pruning and training and practical aspects of plant growth regulation.

Special attention was given to the effective management of intensive orchards in modern fruit growing, methods for balancing vegetative growth and yield, and practical recommendations aimed at increasing orchard productivity and fruit quality.

The seminar was attended by farmers, agronomists, agribusiness representatives, students and other interested parties.

The event aimed to share the knowledge and practical experience developed based on research conducted by the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture in the field of fruit growing. This exchange is highly significant for farmers and sector specialists to ensure the production of competitive fruit.
