Sericulture field development in Georgia was discussed at the 8th international conference

The issues on the current situation and the prospects for the development of Sericulture in Georgia were discussed at the 8th (International Association of silk) BACSA international conference, held in Sheki (Republic of Azerbaijan). The representatives of the scientific - research center of Agriculture participated in the Conference. Particular attention was paid to the current innovative technologies for the development of the sericulture field in Georgia.

The sericulture handcraft and silk product exhibition was organized within the the 8th International Conference.

During the conference, participants visited silk and weaving factory in Sheki, where the old weaving loom, painting and printed calico machineries with modern weaving equipment are placed. Representatives of 20 countries took part in the conference, including the silkworm breeders from Bulgaria, Romania, China, Cuba and other countries.
