Detection of the perspective varieties of wine continues

The head of the division of post-harvest storing and processing of Scientific-Research center of Agriculture, David Chichua, introduced the wine varieties to the private sector representatives at the National Wine Agency. 12 white wine samples of different regions have been evaluated with tasteful qualities, chemical characteristics and yield parameters.

According to private sector representatives, similar tasting promotes the popularization due to the rare varieties of wines and its return to the industrial market.

Several perspective varieties have been identified during the tasting: Kundza da Kapistoni ( Imereti), Meskhuri Mtsvane ( Meskheti), Rachuli Mtsvivani (Racha ), Kakhuri Mtsvivani (Kakheti).

It should be noted that Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, at the demonstrative base of Jigaura, simultaneously to the search and restoration of rare varieties of wines, the center carries out wine making and research.
